I've been looking forward to this for months now and thought I'd share with all my post-rock-art-cinema-geek homies out there. Its only playing two nights in southern california ... once at the echoplex in LA on september 12th and once tomorrow at the Art Theater on 4th in Long Beach. The show is at midnight and we have a wedding tomorrow in Malibu, so we'll see if we can make it (!). If not, you'll catch us at the LA showing for sure.
Filmmaker Vincent Moon and Nathanael Le Scouarnec team up and follow Mogwai through their recent 3 night set in Brooklyn. Burning’s arty black-and-white noise is harrowingly beautiful even in this short trailer. Reminds me of Anton Corbijn's work on Control only tweaked into warp speed. Amazing footage of an amazing group.
