Kala + RJ : Long Beach Wedding

We had an absolute blast documenting Kala and RJ's wedding. The day paralleled their personalities perfectly ... simple, rustic, stylish, and extremely energetic. We discovered the lovely couple occasionally shows up to parties in their chicken costumes, so naturally they had to do their own personal take on the classic dance. Pure awesomeness! Thank you to Erin from Flowers By Erin in San Diego for making our job easy by sporting such amazing flowers.

Congrats to both of you !!

Stumptown

I just wanted to share a few images from my brief trip to visit my twin in Portland. The Pearl District has undergone some really serious transformations in the last decade ... lots of new contemporary urban living spaces and renovated factories from the turn of the century. It's a great time capture a vibrant city during substantial transition. One more day up here (20 degrees outside, Long Beach is sounding pretty warm right now) ... more pics to come later.

Judy + Josiah : Engagement Session Los Angeles

Oh man, we had a wild time photographing these two. We basically followed Judy and Josiah around on a re-creation of their first date (!). Both avid vinyl collectors, we naturally started out at their favorite spot in the world (high on my list as well :), Amoeba Records in Hollywood. It was a Saturday, so apparently the store would be so jam-packed it would be difficult to take any photos. Luckily, the manager let us in 40 minutes before they opened ... we had the store to ourselves! Very cool indeed. Then we busted over to Westwood for some shots at their favorite pizza hangout. We had a lot of fun creating some uber-unique and very personal photos for these two.

Congrats again Judy and Josiah!
