Anavie, Mike, and Ever : Balboa Fun Zone

Its always an absolute pleasure to photograph Anavie and Mike. They look so natural in front of the camera, you'd think they model in their spare time (!). This was our first photo session with their adorable little girl Ever ... and her first time at the fun zone. It took a bit to warm her up, but bubbles and ice cream (two of my favorites things as well :) sent her to the moon! Thanks Anavie and Mike for reminding us why we love our job so much!

Sara, Jake, and little Emma

I had a fabulous time photographing the Buss family (for the 3rd year in a row!!). Its great to see how different our sessions evolve because Emma is growing up so fast. I thought I would help the shoot go perfectly smooth by bringing Emma one of her favorite things ... a balloon! She was ecstatic for about one minute until the knot untied and it went flying. No worries, I ran to the car to get my back up balloon ... thought I was in the clear ... just before my next pose she sat in the grass and it popped :(. So no more balloon in the shoot. I'll bring three with me next time.

The stars aligned just right for me for not too far away were a few kids giving away free kittens (!!). Emma spied the most social of the bunch and it totally cuddled up for photos :). Then at the end of the shoot ... I went to high five Emma and she said "Bye Paul" and hugged me instead. I was reminded ever so clearly why I do this for a living. I love this job.

Dana, Sean, and Cruz Icaza

We had a fantastic afternoon in Hermosa Beach this weekend. Cool and cloudy most of the day, which can be tough when you're posing but we love the light (!). Can't believe little Cruz is almost six months old already ... we're so glad we got to see our coolest bride and groom again and this time with their little man! Here are a few samples for our session.

Little Inspirations

Here is an adorable collection of clothing inspired by Alice in Wonderland created by FIDM graduate Teresa Allman. Her designs are beautifully whimsical! Not only does Teresa design beautiful clothing, she also writes stories for children.

Sean + Suzette ... and now introducing, Braedon!

We are afforded an extremely unique and wonderful opportunity every time we photograph a wedding. We get to make a lifetime connection with our clients and continue to make images for them as their family grows. Our good friends Sean and Suzette have obsessively photographed their baby for almost a year now, but now it was our turn. After photographing their engagement, wedding, and maternity portrait, it so cool to see them again ... only this time with their spunky and uber expressive baby boy Braedon!
