Judy + Josiah : Engagement Ceremony

Judy and Josiah have such a great energy together !! Nothing but ginormous smiles. It was really cool to be there with them last week to document the traditional Vietnamese engagement ceremony and introduction of their families. We're planning a really cool engagement portrait session ... wandering around LA with them next week ... so stay tuned for that soon !!

Kate + Adeeb : Calamigos Ranch, Malibu

We had so much fun photographing Kate and Adeeb's wedding. They both artists and work in LA on hit tv shows, so we brought a little cinematic style in to capture all subtle moments and vintage ranch details. There were a ton of beautiful, simple, nostalgia-conjuring details throughout the whole wedding. details Kate's veil is her grandmothers ... and almost 100 years old (!). Our good friends Jon and Irena (photographer and make-up superstars) were also there to celebrate in the festivities.

Congratulations to you guys!!

Bonnie and Cabe's Save-the-Date

I wanted to show off the save the date I just received from my uber-cool cousin in Santa Barbara. Its really simple, but expresses them perfectly! Its two images enlarged from a classic photobooth with subtle black borders and white font. Slick!

Leanne and I are really excited for their wedding this summer. The ceremony is going to be at the Santa Barbara courthouse (in the Mural Room) followed by a reception at the Maritime Museum. Perfect choice for them ... it'll really reflect their vintage-california style. More on that later!

Frankencamera

Totally up my alley. I am currently building my own camera ... stay tuned for photos ... but it will have no technology (especially not the level these Stanford guys are putting in to theirs!). Its really interesting to see where digital cameras will go in the next few years.
