Lara + Jay : Engagement Session, Hermosa Beach

We had an absolute blast photo blast photographing Lara and Jay in their neck of the woods, Hermosa Beach. They got engaged just a couple of months ago out in the sand by the eighth street lifeguard tower. It was fun to take them back there and relive the memory. So much energy bursting out of these two, we cannot wait for the wedding this summer!

Wedding Album : Trieste + Keith

Another beautiful hand made album from Leather Craftsmen. 36 page 10X10 flushmount style. The cover is made from a natural distressed leather and the photos are backed by (our new favorite!) copper acid free paper liner.

Engagement Previews

What can we say, its been a very busy week. I promise we have a ton of things to share on the blog, but I wanna wait a little longer (film scans on their way back from the lab :). Here are a few images from last weekend to hold you over until I can post the whole enchilada.

Enjoy!

Sara, Jake, and little Emma

I had a fabulous time photographing the Buss family (for the 3rd year in a row!!). Its great to see how different our sessions evolve because Emma is growing up so fast. I thought I would help the shoot go perfectly smooth by bringing Emma one of her favorite things ... a balloon! She was ecstatic for about one minute until the knot untied and it went flying. No worries, I ran to the car to get my back up balloon ... thought I was in the clear ... just before my next pose she sat in the grass and it popped :(. So no more balloon in the shoot. I'll bring three with me next time.

The stars aligned just right for me for not too far away were a few kids giving away free kittens (!!). Emma spied the most social of the bunch and it totally cuddled up for photos :). Then at the end of the shoot ... I went to high five Emma and she said "Bye Paul" and hugged me instead. I was reminded ever so clearly why I do this for a living. I love this job.

Yelp Party: Dia de los Muertos!

Last Friday we got to photograph a Yelp event that went on at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA)! The theme was "Dia de los Muertos", and it was super cool! It was basically a night of tequila tasting, art, fire dancing and more!

Check out the Yelp blog for a list of vendors that participated and to see more photos from the night click here.
